Athlete Profiling

Physiokinetic have been involved in athlete profiling (also known as screening) for over a decade. This process is designed to identify potential injury risks as well as specific targets for improvement in terms of mobility, strength and movement proficiency.  The central aim is to reduce the risk of avoidable injury and achieve improved training consistency, enhancing overall sporting performance.

Our profiling is sport specific and will include a report which summarises the findings as well as the recommendations arising from the process.

Sports Massage

Sports massage is an effective way of maintaining the normal mobility and health of the soft tissue structures that are part of the musculoskeletal system of the body. It is an essential tool for professional athletes who push their bodies on a daily basis in training and competition, aiding recovery and injury prevention.

Sports massage could also help you.  No matter what your sport, or level of ability, it can be an important factor in keeping you at your physical best, preventing issues which can lead to injury and time out. It is also a great way of managing the physical stresses associated with both manual and desk-based work.

Sports massage is available at Physiokinetic through Lyra Cobb, an independent soft tissue therapist practising from our clinic.  Appointments can be made by contacting her directly on 07808 095 011.
