Athlete Profiling

Physiokinetic have been involved in athlete profiling (also known as screening) for over a decade. This process is designed to identify potential injury risks as well as specific targets for improvement in terms of mobility, strength and movement proficiency.  The central aim is to reduce the risk of avoidable injury and achieve improved training consistency, enhancing overall sporting performance.

Our profiling is sport specific and will include a report which summarises the findings as well as the recommendations arising from the process.

Superspines

Superspines is an exercise class that is designed for people who have episodic mechanical back pain or who have had similar back pain in the past.

These hour-long sessions are physiotherapist led and combine flexibility, strength and balance through a series of floor based, swiss ball and functional exercises. Emphasis is placed on correct technique and learning to listen to what your body is telling you.

This approach to treatment of low back pain is recommended by NICE who published new guidelines in November 2016.

These sessions are available on a one-to-one basis – please contact us for more details.
